 LDWF hosts National Hunting and Fishing Day, at 4 Separate locations across the state..  The Louisiana Hawking Association supports this event across the state by having a licensed Falconer (or in some cases falconer's) go to these following locations and bring a live Bird or (Bird's) of prey for the public to have a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a live bird of prey and to see a display of different types of equipment used to handle and train these magnificent wild creatures, and also the opportunity to speak with and ask questions of the falconer on site. 

If your interested in Falconry, or becoming a Falconer, this  could be a great opportunity to meet your future sponsor and learn more about the LHA.

 

Join us on September 26, 2026 from 8 am to 1:30 pm in Cenla for NHFD event that will be held at LDWF’s Woodworth Outdoor Education Center at 661 Robinson Bridge Rd, Woodworth, La,  or at the following other locations that may be near you..
